Delighted to be working with a leading DMC and UK tour operator, who are looking for an experienced operations specialist to take a more senior position within the Group Operations team.
This role is offered as hybrid working (once the first 6 months of work has been carried out full time in the office) The hybrid model is subject to the work being able to be carried out at home 2 days a week, 3 days office based.
The role:
You will be quoting on new group tour inquiries, and converting quotes in to confirmed bookings. You will then oversea and operate the full tour once confirmed. Making reservations at Hotels, attractions, restaurants, coach transfers and other suppliers required in each unique booking.
You will lead by example and support the operations team, allocating work to the team, ensuring each team member has a balanced amount of work to ensure quotes are responded to in a timely manor. Monitoring budgets and ensuring the team as a whole is meeting the business targets. You will also working with the Business Development Managers and Product Managers and highlight any new products to market that will develop and convert to new business.
This is an operations role, and someone with experience will understand the requirements to attend FAM trips and emergency phone cover as and when required.
Skills required:
At least 2 years working within a Group Tour Operator within the operations team
Strong attention to detail
Can work under pressure
Proven track record of delivering succesful group tours
Having had direct reports experience / team management experience will be a huge advantage
